Our Story
We met on July 6, 2019 in South Lake Tahoe. Davin was visiting from Oregon and I was visiting from the Bay Area. Fate brought us together and sparks flew instantly, igniting an unbreakable bond. We have been inseparable ever since and got married on the High Roller in Las Vegas on November 18, 2022.
Our journey together as entrepreneurs began in February 2021 with the launch of our first self-managed short-term rental (STR), which skyrocketed to remarkable success, achieving over 90% occupancy. Our dedication and drive to succeed earned us Airbnb Superhost within the first eligible quarter, a status we have proudly maintained.
In a twist of fate, unforeseen circumstances led us to make the difficult decision to sell our first Airbnb. Leveraging the proceeds, we seized the opportunity to establish Unhidden Gems LLC, a dynamic venture encompassing everything short-term rental related, including the creation of a community where hosts can connect with one another. Additionally, we recently acquired our second STR in Florida, which we launched in May of 2023.
We are excited to utilize our entrepreneurial spirit and follow our passion as we embark on this exciting journey together.
Jen
Armed with a degree in Organizational Leadership from Penn State, Jen boasts an illustrious career in HR & Recruitment that spans over 27 years. With her invaluable expertise, she has contributed to the successful launch of numerous start-ups.
In light of an unpredictable job market, coupled with her triumphs in managing her first short-term rental (STR), Jen made a profound decision to shift her focus toward STR design and management.
Driven by an unwavering passion for crafting extraordinary traveler experiences, she pours her heart and soul into creating unforgettable stays for guests.
Davin
At just 22 years old, Davin achieved obtaining his Oregon contractor's license, launching a remarkable journey through the construction industry. From landscaping in Arizona to venturing into diverse businesses, including construction, house flipping, and CBD wholesale distribution, his entrepreneurial spirit knows no bounds.
Teaming up with Jen, Davin combines his exceptional creativity and contractor expertise to spearhead the building and design of every project, ensuring excellence at every step.
